I have had many things happen to me in my life that I could turn my back on GOD or say he was unfair. I understand now better than ever before GOD is fair. His ways are above our ways and what we see as unfair is really fair.

If something bad happens to you, you can be hurt and bitter just don't hold on to it. God will take care of you. He will get you through. God wants you to be able to share with others
the beauty of His love for us. He doesn't want bad things to happen to us. He doesn't make them happen. They are a result of evil in the world. What he wants is us to choose him. He will get you through. Having faith in Him to get us through allows the joy to come back into your life. My husband died when he was just 31 and I was 27. I was a stay at home. I was left with 3 children, ages 6, 4, and 2, to take care of by myself. I had never finished college. I didn't know what to do. I had thought about suicide. I had thought about drinking my problems away. But God was there. He took care of me. Don't think that I wasn't angry with Him or I felt like this was fair. Mike and I had our whole life left together. But who's to stay that life has to go as we plan. God was with me at every turn

God is fair. What he does not like to see is people who remain bitter and unforgiving of situations and other people. Christ carried the cross for us so that we wouldn't have to carry it. If someone does something to you, and you decide that you are going to remain hurt and carry around that cross for the rest of your life, then you can expect your negativity and lack of faith in God's goodness to affect your children and your descendents. I've lived long enough to see that people who have a negative view of life and God continue to propagate negativity in their lives. I've seen those very same negative people pass on their negativity and lack of faith in God to their children and their children's children. The results have been catastrophic in many cases ----- drugs, jail, etc. These very same negative people will claim that they trust the Lord, but you will see how they remain hurt and bitter over past hurts instead of moving on, and trusting that God has a good plan for them.

No, God is not fair. If He responded to us in fairness, we would be wiped out of existence. It would be as if we never existed. God can do whatever He likes because He is God. To call God to account for His behavior borders on arrogance.
God is not fair but He is gracious and merciful and just.He is also loving and righteous and holy. We cannot begin to understand the totality of the depths of these concepts.
I don't want what I deserve, which is the basis of the concept of fairness. What I deserve as a rebellious sinner is utter and total damnation. What I have received from the hand of a benevolent, gracious and merciful God is forgiveness. This is a much better thing than fairness, so much better, words cannot describe it.
I am saved from the wrath of God by the grace of God. Anything that happens to me from this point onward cannot compare to that rich and grace-filled gift. I can honestly say with Paul that "all things work to the good of those who are called to Christ."

Dear Linda- Our Living God and our Lord Jesus Christ will
show you the way of peace and comfort in your
life. Our issues are God's issues, and He
is just in all His ways.

Ask Jesus to show you how to manage your
household. We please and bless God when
we listen to God and offer up supplicating
prayers.

The prayers are not so much for God's benefit,
but uses our prayers to change our attitude
about the situation.

You are loved by God and His holy angels and He
will strengthen you in the simplicity of Christ
as your life.

When in distress, pray God to lead you into
contentment and full of joy of the Holy Spirit.

I disagree with this article. God IS fair. We can't blame God for all our decisions or the decisions of others in our lives. If someone gives you lemons, by gosh, go out and make lemonade! I know someone like the author's mother-in-law. I will call her Edith for the sake of illustration. Edith's husband walked out on her for another woman. Edith was left to fend for herself and their 4 children. She always saw the glass as being half-full, and said from the very beginning that she would charge ahead and look forward to a happy future. Was she hurt? You bet she was, but she proceeded to lead a joyous and peaceful life in the midst of poverty with her four children. All four children are now professionals leading happy and productive lives. Edith is now living in her own home and quite happy. Edith always says that when you trust God, all will turn out well. When I look into Edith's eyes, I see the joy of God, and the wonderful things that can come from adversity.

I think you have a warped way of thinking. God is not fair??????????
Matt; 20 description is fair is fair can be.
Did you tell your boss that it wasn't fair that he paid you what he said he would pay you???? Didn't you say yes to his offer??
All of the people agreed to the wage that was offered and the farmer paid them accordingly.
What is unfair about that?

I can't think of a single thing to complain about that would hold water. The Lord has given me more than I could ever dream of repaying. I may be poor, but I have more stuff than I can deal with. It seems I can't give it or throw it away fast enough. Would dump all in a heart beat for a closer walk with God.
