Susan Jones

Senior Editor

(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) affirmed his friendship with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on Thursday, telling Cybercast News Service he had spoken with his colleague after a Wednesday night presidential debate in which Obama mentioned Coburn in conjunction with an unrepentant former member of a domestic terrorist group. "Barack Obama is my friend," said Coburn, when asked if he was offended by Obama's comment. "We're not all necessarily happy with everything we say."
