I thank you for this article. It is the first I have heard of the persecution of Christians in Iraq. On one hand I'm surprised and on the other hand I'm not. Surprised because I had hoped that Iraqi interest in self-government and recovering from years of tyranny would be at the forefront of their mind; not surprised because the fanatacism of their religion is so entrenched.

I hope and will pray that our government can and will do something to assist Iraqi Christans in surviving and flourishing. My human side can't help but question why our government would attempt to save Christians in Iraq while at the same they are trying to do all they can to remove Christianity from America. Pardon this cynical interruption. We have a fight on our hands, folks. We need to do all we can to assist and save Iraqi Christians. We also need to do all we can to survive private (i.e. ACLU & the media) and public (i.e. a liberal dominated Capital Hill) persecution in America.
