She is exactly right, we cannot forgive other people for hurting us until we first learn to ask for forgiveness ourselves.
We only think that we are the ones that are hurting, but in fact we may be the one that is hurting other people.
The smallest words or actions can cause devasting consequences and we don't even realize it.
I also went through a divorce and now I am with a great guy and my ex husband has a better relationship with our 2 children than he did when we were married.
We need to pray and trust that in GOD because he will work out the situation no matter how bad it may get, GOD always has a plan for our lives, even if we don't realize right away.
