I have had the honor of listening to Lee Strobel in my church when he was on staff and I don't believe anyone makes "light" of hell. There are many small groups within my church to whom most of our congregation belong for that intimate study time with God, all at the urging of our pastor. What I see today is the enemy is attacking the church by creating divisiveness between pastors by being critical of their teachings. If people get saved and pastors are teaching from the Bible, embrace their differences if the message is correct. There is a war out there that needs to be fought with our kids, protecting our minds, standing up for our faith, and the last thing we need is more criticism against one another. Lee is the real deal, and more importantly a man who knows how to speak to non believers (which you are clearly not), so he may know a thing or two about how to do that. A fool does not seek counsel and seeking counsel on how to speak to an atheist from an ex atheist is wisdom.

I have listened to Lee Strobel,s case for faith, and I have one thing that brothers me about this book. It seem to make light the subject of hell. Jesus spoke twice as much about hell as he talked about heaven. It seems to me that Jesus was trying to warn us about this terrible bad place.
I hate to be the one to break the news to Mr. Stobel, but the bible make it clear that there will be a great falling away from the faith, in the last days. You don't have to look far to see that is going on right now, with so many churches so concerned with programs and getting big numbers into their doors. They don't have much time teaching God's word, and the people want it their way, so turn up the rock music. Do some stand up, and keep them laughing all the way to hell.
I remember something a none christian said about what he thought of most christian. He said " If i really believed in the bible he, would crawl on broken glass all over this city to warn others about God's wrath, and about hell".
