If it seems that there a lot of "Christians" posting on Crosswalk lately who seem to have unbiblical, far-left viewpoints, there's a reason for it.
As I've been suspecting for a while, individuals with a leftist agenda are posting their comments here posing as Christians. The point is to make the authentic Christian people who read their comments feel that they must be out of touch for holding to a biblical worldview. They also wish to sway opinion in favour of their presidential candidate.
At least one Obama campaign worker has admitted as much on a pro-Hillary blog.
Christians, have some discernment and stick to your guns!

Obviously I believe the Bible forbids homosexuality. Of course I oppose gay marriage. However, I don't know that this is a debate that profits the church to get involved in. It's one thing for Christians to personally oppose things, vote that way, and speak about it from that perspective with others. But to turn the church as a whole into a political body involved in public debates - I just don't think it's constructive in the carrying out of the Great Commission. I certainly don't endorse watering down the word or changing our beliefs for the sake of "fooling" people into accepting Christ. But I think we should always just stick to message. ALL have sinned, not just homosexuals, and ALL need Christ - and ALL can have Christ by simply believing. That's the message - people can accept it or deny it, but beyond that, we have NO right to interfere in the way others live their lives who do not have Christ. Getting involved in these debates only pushes people away from the church!

In regards to ImaSinners recent post about what the bible has to say about gay marriage.......well if you read past, in Ezekiel 16-49 (RSV) to 16-50 you will also find that the people did abominable things before the Lord, and so He removed them. Gods plan for all of us was set forth once in the Garden of Eden and once again in the time of Noah, when all species including humans were paired male to female. That is one of the many things that is so wonderful about the word of God. No one can just stand on one verse and claim this or that because it cross references itself so well, according to Gods plan.

Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to post this message. You can not take one verse out of the bible and justify your actions. Marriage is for one man and one woman until death do you part , and if you are in Christ ,there is no death. open your bible and read Ezekiel 16:36-39,Romans 1:19-32 and 1Corinthians 6:9-10. If you can still say that it is okay for a woman to be married to a woman and a man to be married to a man, knowing that Hebrews13:8 declare Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, then I truly am sorry that you are so blinded to the truth. John14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way , the truth and the life, and no one comes to the father except through me." You are in my prayers, and I pray you will ask the Lord to open your heart to the truth and have ears to hear and eyes to see. Your sister in Christ, Lori

To the previous poster who says God destroyed Sodom because of homosexuality, Ezekiel 16:49 says the sin of Sodom was inhospitality.

I really don't see how marriage between 2 people who love each other and want to commit their relationship to God is going to have any effect on our nation but a positive one. We used to not allow slaves to marry because we didn't consider them human. We used to burn scientist at the stake for saying the Earth was round when Genesis 1:2 says it was flat.

Jesus said we are to love one another and denying people a basic right to enjoy the same happiness that marriage brings to a hetero couple is not loving.

Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to post this message. All true Christians truly know what is at stake in the Gay Marriage Debate. In truth it is an abomination that will send you to hell for eternity. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this abomination and Hebrews13:8 says"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. " This means it is still an abomination. The Lord does not play favorites or have different rules for different people. He is just and all his judgments are right. It is for the Lord to judge, but be sure that it is an abomination and if not forsaken and repented of will surely send you to hell for eternity. Some may not believe in hell, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Are you really willing to risk eternity? Marriage is not an institution, man has made everything sacred and holy an institution, but marriage to God is Sacred. If you know Jesus you know that Jesus, and Jesus alone gives the marriage. Many are married, few have marriages.
