To say that atheists have a public relation challenge, I believe, is missing the point. The crux of Mr. Aronson's article isn't really whether or not an atheistic movement can attract more followers; it is about defining a minority that will be protected and given "rights" which will supercede those of other religious groups, especially Christians. This is right out of the "gay/lesbian" playbook and, of course, is Satan inspired.

The fight isn't about atheist or not, it is about proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ (Yeshua Meshiach) alone. "For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand." Eph. 6:12,13. Are we prepared, are we teaching our youth, do we recognize the battle?

Sir, you hit the nail on the head with your comment about the “probably” being “seeker sensitive.”

I have been writing Christian apologetics against atheism for some time now and I also draw a correlation between the church’s “Emergent Church” movement and “Emergent Atheism” or the “New Emergent Atheism.”

This seeker sensitive movement is so successful that I constantly encounter adherents of the New Emergent Atheism that think that the statement, “Atheists positively affirm God’s non-existence” is something that theists invented in order to make atheists look silly.

They actually have no knowledge of the history of atheism nor that atheists who positively affirm God’s non-existence abound today—albeit, outside of their box, their comfort zone, outside of the Emergent Atheism denomination.

aDios,
Mariano
