Yes this is the most advantageous route in my opinion. We have got to stand up for what is right in the eyes of the Lord. But really this is a knee jerk reaction to problems that have been plagueing our people for quite some time. For instance in the Old Testament the people were afraid to do something of reproach in the eyes of God because they had an understanding that God is omnipresent and omnipotent. They also knew and most had seen God's wonder and glory first hand, and knew that if they crossed God then they were pretty much looking for trouble and eventually death.
We have got to search for God's power again in the church to convict and break the hearts of mankind again, so that they once again can know that God is there all of the time, in all of His magnificence and glory. Jesus said that in the end times men will have the appearance of God but deny the power thereof. For too long we have all denied the power of God to divide the soul, and convict our hearts.

Slight correction: It's Bishop Marc Andrus, not Mark.
