Here's the way I see it.
There are TOO MANY multi-billionaires and multi-millionaires in this world and there are TOO MANY starving, homeless, uneducated, unemployed, unhealthy people.

Those with SO MUCH MONEY they could never spend it all if that was the ONLY thing they did from this moment until they died doing it have TOO MUCH MONEY.

Those that are starving, homeless, unemployed, uneducated and/or unhealthy do not have ENOUGH MONEY.

There is just so much money to be HAD by anyone.

Looks pretty clear to me---- TIME TO PAY THE PIPER RICH FOLKS!
Jesus TOLD you to do it [sell all you have and give it to the poor]
After all a NEEDLE has a VERY VERY VERY small eye !!

You say:
"So when a person makes a lot of money, it means that he has done beneficial things for a lot of people."

WHAT ??????
How convoluted is THAT logic?? When a person makes a lot of money, it is MORE likely at the OVERWHELMING expense to all those along the way he/she has stepped ON or OVER to get it.
What BENEFICIAL things done by the rich has caused the recent havoc on Wall Street?? And WHO benefited MOST from this fiasco?? The RICH CEOS with their benefit packages and those BAILED OUT on the backs of the NOT SO RICH TAXPAYERS. If I was undecided before about who to vote for in the upcoming election, I certainly am no LONGER in doubt.

You say: "The wealthy don’t owe us. Literally, we owe them."
Now THAT is just plain IDIOTIC!
The reality in JESUS WORDS is that wealth is an IMPEDIMENT to a person seeking Heaven, not a MEANS to get there---

If I was undecided before about who to vote for in the upcoming election, I certainly am no LONGER in doubt.

Mark 10:
17And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
By your logic Jesus was a socialist!

Lordonlyknows,

Actually, there is not a finite amount of money and it does just get created. It is created by banks in the form of debt every time someone takes out a loan. I highly encourage you to google the phrase "money as debt" and watch the corresponding video. You can watch it online and it explains just how this crazy scheme works.

Your article is an interesting example of how one can mask bias in an illusionary cloak of reason. At one point you talk about how money being dispensed to fewer hands does not mean that other people are left poorer. Where do you think money comes from? Do you think we can just print more of it whenever we want and that will not affect the relative value of the currency? Because you cannot just make more money in an economy, when a few people have a lot more of it, by necessity many more people must have a little less of it. While my point is combating your flawed analysis of currency, I have a moral one for you too. There are poor people in America right? Some if not many of them are suffering and their children go hungry some nights? This is a fact. Because people are suffering, it does not matter whether you have some ideology that says it having one rich person does not necessitate 10 poor, suffering people. The fact is there are 10 poor suffering people for each rich person.
