I still remember the first time as a 'make sure everything is spotless' Christian that I went to an informal church meeting at one of our member's homes.

I was sitting on the end of a couch next to a small table....With dust on it!....Imagine that! What a Blessing!

It left such an impression on me. These people that I thought so highly of would take the time to open their hearts and home. They weren't perfect & didn't care who knew it.

I can't tell you all that was spoken at the meeting but I do remember God's Spirit speaking volumes to my heart through that dust.

You have discribed me to a T. We are in our 80's and my house is far from what I would like it to be when I have company. Evrything we need is placed where it will be handy not hidden away in a cabnet or closet. In other words, my house is cluttered! I appreciate your article and I promised myself that I will not let my house stop me from being socaiable. Really, I don't keep my house, my house keeps me. Basically clean enough but really cluttered. God bless you in your efforts to help folks see the balance we need.
