The GOP demonizes homosexuals in America? Yeah right. You people need to learn that opposing immoral behaviors is not the same as opposing those who engage in such practices.

The fact of the matter is, homosexuals and their misguided supporters cannot make a case, so they resort to abusive ad hominem attacks as above, throwing insults and labeling anyone who disagrees with them as homophobic or hateful.

When is Sandy Rios going to come to grips with the fact that this anti-Gay sentiment is no longer going to be a winning strategy for the GOP? Even Andrew Stuttaford, a contributor to the conservative National Review, recently noted that while nearly half of senior citizens do not think there should be any legal recognition of same-sex marriage, 41 percent of Americans under 45 support legalizing Gay marriage.

Opinions are shifting. Young people are far more aware of Gay friends, family members and co-workers than their grandparents were, and with that awareness has come increasing acceptance and support. And if they are confronted with Republican political candidates that insist on demonizing Gay Americans, those young people are going to be turned off. The Sandy Rios and the rest of the GOP ignore this at their own peril.
