Would conservatives complain if George W. Bush received the Nobel Prize? Of course not, because George W. Bush was in office for over 8 years and instituted various policies which has made both our nation and the world safer.

The fact of the matter is, however, conservatives are not dismayed by who received the award, but when and why he received it. Barack Obama was nominated for the Nobel Prize less than two weeks after his inauguration when he had done little more than give a speech or two.

Second, as for Barack Obama caring more for the working class American than George W. Bush, you need to stop listening to his speeches and pay more attention to his actual policies. He has more than doubled our deficit after less than a year in office, and continues to support highly expensive policies like Cap and Trade and a Government-Option for health care. The money has to come from somewhere, and it sure isnt from his pocket.

.....with all of these "leftist" conspiracies mentioned I wonder that the author did not also say it was "Bill Clinton's fault" :)

Please.....most people pay very little attention to accolades like the Nobel Peace Prize. I am a blue collar man.. a woodworker and a furniture maker hence my username. While there are things I do not like about President Obama, there is much I like, and conversely there was Much I did not like about Mr. Bush and little I liked. I do feel that President Obama cares more for people in my economic level than the previous administration.

....but we are Christians here in Crosswalk. Aren't we supposed to love one another and the Lord our God? Politics is about power and control. When mixed with religion it can be tyranny of the highest form, democrat or republican. I owe no man or party my complete faith and allegiance, that belongs to the Lord Jesus! I find that much of what appears here about politics borders on the lust for power to control us!

Yeah, I was surprised as well, but let's be honest. This article wouldn't even exist if GW had gotten the prize. Christians on the right would call it the will of God or something. So the international community likes our President. Suck it up. God put him there in the same way he put GW in Washington. Instead of complaining why don't you praise God for the good fortune of our President. It's not a bad thing people don't hate us as much.

The title of this article is very accurate. There is no way he should have been given this award. Especially so early in his presidencey. While on another, secular, message board I came across someone whose screen name is "Praise Obama". I find this very disturbing and frightening. I understand that these things must happen for the prophecies of the end times to be fulfilled. Just realizing that we are seeing the signs of the times sends tingles throughout my body.

I agree totally. The Nobel is a joke. This is ultimately going to expose the silly hero worship that has risen to level of international goofiness: giving someone an award for nothing. Most of the news coverage I saw included a condemnation of what they call "cowboy" militaristic, unilateral, foreign policy under president Bush. They have an agenda: to make the USA roll over and play dead, and they expect Obama to make their wish come true.

Great article - I am shocked by two things this morning.
1> Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize?
2> That ALL the people are not freaked out (See #1)

Thanks for the article and STAY FREAKED OUT!
God Bless
