Continuing on his solo foray from dc Talk, tobyMac will see the Momentum DVD hit the streets this week from Forefront Records. The DVD supports his first solo effort, Momentum, which blurred the lines between pop, rock, rap, and soul upon its release in 2001 and sold over 250,000 units in just under a year.
Included in the Momentum DVD are three short form videos ("Extreme Days", "Get This Party Started", "Irene"), commentaries and behind-the-scene footage from the making of "Irene", an alternative ending to the "Extreme Days" video, photos, eight audio clips from Momentum, and live footage from last summer's festivals, including Spirit West Coast with special appearances by Mary Mary and Kirk Franklin.
Also streeting this week is This Christmas, an enhanced Christmas single from tobyMac which includes the title track, as well as "O Come All Ye Faithful". Other goodies to be found are a holiday greeting from tobyMac, "The Momentum Snowboard Game", screen savers, wallpaper, and buddy icons.
tobyMac is currently co-headlining the 35-city fall leg of Festival Con Dios, a traveling Christian music festival which made the cover of Newsweek last year. In addition to tobyMac, Audio Adrenaline, Out of Eden, MercyMe, Tree63, The Benjamin Gate, Pillar, Aaron Spiro, Sanctus Real, Jeremy Camp, Everyday Sunday, and comedian Bob Smiley will also appear at this fall's tour dates. Speakers Mike Silva and Jose Zayas of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association are also featured.
