You stated in your review that the and movie "attends to every historical detail (like the books)" when it really doesn't. O'Brien himself admitted in a preface to the reader that he purposely "shifted" some events around to better suit his plot. I have no problem with that, and I enjoy the movie and books anyway, but I thought it would be a good thing to remind you of that fact.

Also, the fact that there are mature elements in the movie, as you noted, actually enhances the believability of the plot and characters; it is not a "bad" thing. It just means that yes, this is a movie for audiences that can handle such elements and can appriciate what is happening.
