The baby may be crying incessantly, but at least he's healthy. You may be recovering from the flu, but at least's it's not a chronic illness. The after-Thanksgiving sales may be taunting your empty coffers, but at least you have all you need.
In this season of shopping-overdrive, where just about every commercial on TV is urging you to buy and the children in your life have a Christmas wish list a mile long, it's easy to get sucked into the buy, buy, buy mode, even though you know Christmas is about more than material things.

Rather than giving in to the pressure to splurge until your money's gone or your credit cards are maxed out, pause and think about what really matters this seasons.

How you exist during this holiday season is a matter of perspective. You can choose to dwell on all that's not right, or give extra thanks for all that is.
When praises go up, blessings are sure to flow down.
Thank God today that all is as well as it is. Thank Him in advance for improving your situation as He sees fits. And most important, thank Him for sharing His son with a world that often fails to appreciate and glorify Him.
