But some developments did occur as the day went on...
People following the story e-mailed asking for new developments.
Later in the day a "reporter" from the U of O "newspaper" called my producers at first while I was on the air and later late after hours - asking for my contact information so that they could ask questions of me.
The "V-man" (my senior producer) said in relaying the requests to me that "something fishy" didn't smell right about the "reporter's" inquiries.
The "V-man" did in fact give the "reporter" my e-mail address and asked them to be in touch with me directly - they promised they would. He also invited the "reporter" to come on to the show and discuss the issue with me. (...as we have offered to every appropriate person in leadership at the University.)
The "reporter" declined and seemed to want to get off the line quickly when the "V-man" asked the reporter for how the response on campus was forming.
The "reporter" indicated that nothing had happened. (In essence denying the response by those outraged of blanketing trees on campus surrounding the administration's office building.) We know first hand from those involved that there has been response.
All of this and more happened in the last 24 hours... thus it was no surprise that I used the column space today to further put this matter before American tax-payers - in WorldNetDaily. I continue to get tons of e-mail asking the question - "how can we begin and effort to get federal funds withdrawn from the University of Oregon?"
The short answer is I don't know - but the more we ask - the closer we can get to finding out how. Attorneys, Experts, those doing the research - e-mail me with thoughts on those lines.
And READ and FORWARD the column to anyone and everyone you know who pays taxes... they should be aware of what their dollars are being spent towards.
