SCHUMER: "GAY MARRIAGE IS ON THE TABLE": I think the next several weeks will give those of us in the MuscleHead Revolution a chance to see first hand what some politicians work very hard over the course of their career to keep concealed as much as possible.
Don't be fooled friend - the words these people will use will be chosen to accomplish specific sets of objectives. WHICH IS FINE. All we have to do is pay attention and understand WHAT the substance is that they are advocating.
Take New York's Senior Senator Charles Schumer on Sunday appearing on the THIS WEEK program on ABC.
This shouldn't surprise anyone, but Chuck Schumer is not only promising to lead the fight against whoever President Bush appoints to replace Sandra Day O'Connor to the United States Supreme Court - but he is vowing to push for litmus test items that include abortion "rights" as well as the candidate being willing to embrace the idea of redefining marriage to include same sex relationships...
"All questions are legitimate," Schumer told ABC's THIS WEEK. "What is your view on Roe v. Wade? What is your view on gay marriage?"
"They are going to try to get away with the idea that we're not going to know their views," Schumer complained. "But that's not going to work."
NewsMax points out that:
Schumer came out against gay marriage in 2004, after New Paltz, N.Y. Mayor Jason West performed nearly two dozen same-sex unions. Schumer also voted FOR the "Defense of Marriage Act" (DOMA) in 1996.![]()
