On the issue of Proposition 77, or the "Re-Districting Initiative", that is now facing legal hurdles due to a 'technical error at circulation'; there is an unreported story as it relates to the non-partisan office of Attorney General, and Bill Lockyer.

At the Democrat Convention in Los Angeles, April 15-17, Bill Lockyer offered an interesting claim at the microphone, before thousands of loyal Democrat operatives in California.

Lockyer said:

“Yesterday, Lockyer took credit for starting Schwarzenegger's slide by issuing an official title and summary for the ill-fated pension initiative that called attention to its elimination of death and disability benefits.

“‘It was my office that I think significantly contributed to the activities, the activism of nurses, teachers and others because we were the ones that pointed out that death benefits were going to be denied widows and orphans of firefighters and law enforcement officers,’ the attorney general said in a convention speech yesterday morning.”   (San Diego Union-Tribune, April 18, 2005)

Here is the Attorney General taking credit for lowering the governor's approval ratings by tampering with the the 'title and summery' petition from submitted by the governor's committee regarding pension reform.

Is it any wonder that a reported error by Ted Costa and the People's Advocate is being played into such an egregious crime by Bill Lockyer?

Who is playing politics with the people's vote now Mr. Lockyer?
