President Bush mildly shocked the political world of the beltway crowd with his nomination of John Roberts.  If you were betting the odds you would have thought you were safe with your money on a female jurist.  But Bush, not one to follow the beat of anyone else's drum began the mother of all Supreme Court nominee battles by firing an unexpected shot. 

Conservative organizations have lavishly praised Roberts while leftist organizations are sharpening  the long knives.out Roberts limited two year paper trail that has the ACLU, People for the American Way, NARAL and the usual left wing Democrat senators in hyperbolic overdrive in describing his "destructive right wing inclinations?"
