I've been interviewed by numerous Radio and TV Station today, and they are ALL asking what 'violations' the Attorney General has committed in endorsing this art exhibit inside of his DOJ Office, here in Sacramento.
Here is the list for quick reference:
1. Endorsement (hosting) the art exhibit - What are we paying the "top cop" of California to do? Isn't it a job of defending, and representing California in legal matters? Why is he using (spending) payroll hours on an art display that is anti-military?
2. Tax Dollars - Even with the Art Council's announcement that they have procured independent sponsors for this 'event', there are still tax dollars at work in hosting the exhibit inside of the physical structure of the DOJ quarters in Sacramento. Would Lockyer do the same for the 10 Commandments? Would he do the same for a painting of a Koran headed into the toilet?
3. Censorship - If we have government making a decision as to what does, and what doesn't make it up on a wall during a political art (speech) display, then we have the truest form of censorship; government determining what is, and what is not correct speech. This describes this exhibit perfectly.
4. Dangerous - This type of speech from the DOJ and the AG himself, encourages those who are fighting our troops in Iraq, and around the world, inside of the global war on terrorism. Lockyer is supporting the terrorists propaganda, sedition is not free speech.
With five current investigations surrounding Governor Schwarzenegger's office, when it comes to tax dollars, and his job responsibilities...where is the investigation surrounding the 'costs' and 'expenses' of this art exhibit, I thought the state was in debt.
