Art Exhibit Sponsor Wants Piece Removed

Fox News has picked up the pace on Lockyer's Art Exhibit, today Claudia Cowen recorded a report from the AG's Office in Sacramento.  Here is the link  for the Fox News story, and the video offering her report this afternoon.

Tonight on Hannity and Colmes, the Communications Director for the California Republican Party, Karen Hanretty, will be debating the 'controversial political art' display. Make sure to watch at 6PM, or the replay at 9PM Pacific.

Enclosed in a earlier posting on the Hogue Blog, is a release from the California Arts Council, listing the private sponsors of this exhibit. The first, and most predominate sponsor is River City Bank.

Today, the "Hogue Show" called a representative of River City Bank, and they were confused, even dumbfounded at being mentioned as a sponsor of this display. The representative said, "yes, we do donate and sponsor art exhibits throughout Sacramento, but we had nothing to do with this event." The representative went on to say that they were "very offended" with the Steven Pearcy art piece, and they believe it should be removed immediately.

We are trying to feature this representative on Monday's show, stay tuned this weekend for updates and a schedule for Monday.

To close, there are other pieces of 'protest art' in the AG's DOJ building. Take a look at this piece...

Is this a painting of the Supreme Court on fire? Are those 'targets' to the right, and to the left? What is the 'speech', the message of this art? Are they stating that the Supreme Court should be physically burned to the ground?

Is it time for the FBI to visit the Attorney General's office and ask some questions?
