Donate Now to Help Hurricane Victims

Staff

You can take part in Operation Blessing's ongoing hurricane response efforts by making an online donation today to support OBI relief services in the field: www.ob.org.

World Vision has already begun responding – sending shipments of emergency supplies, donated by generous corporations and distributed in partnership with local churches and Christian agencies to children and families in need. Because the supplies have been donated, your gift will multiply in value to ship and distribute urgently needed items to those who need them the most. World Vision's American Families Assistance Fund works in partnership with local churches and Christian agencies to provide lasting hope for American children and families in difficult situations, including those affected by disasters like Hurricane Katrina.

Campus Crusade for Christ
already has resources to help provide immediate assistance to victims in affected areas. Right now they are mobilizing thousands of college students and other volunteers from all over the United States to provide urgently needed manpower to the relief efforts in areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. These teams will be sharing the love of Christ as they stay in affected areas and work with local churches and other organizations to offer assistance wherever they are most needed. Visit http://give2.ccci.org/featured/hurricane-cw/ to help.

With the massive amount of clean up that will be undertaken in the coming weeks, World Relief volunteers will need chainsaws, containers to haul away debris, tools, and other necessary items. Donors wishing to contribute to the Hurricane Relief fund may do so at www.worldrelief.org or by calling 1-800-535-5433.

For information on ways to assist The Salvation Army in meeting the needs of the victims of Katrina, persons may call 1-800-SALARMY or visit www.salvationarmyusa.org.

Donations to support Southern Baptists' massive mobilization may be made to the state conventions which are sending units, to the state Baptist conventions most affected by the hurricane and to NAMB which coordinates the national response. To make a donation and to stay abreast of Southern Baptist's response, go to www.namb.net/dr.
