AFRAID OF ALITO, DEMS FREAK OUT, PRESS YAWNS: Ok so I'm standing in line at the Deli this morning waiting for my breakfast over and thought I would peruse the newspaper stand (but not open it because I'm too cheap to spend the $.75 for it).
The only paper they had on the stand was the USA Today. In a day in which such a "huge" and "historic" event just occurred last night - and since the USA Today doesn't go to print until 1:30am EST, I thought for sure that it would be the featured item on the cover.
Instead, no mention on the cover, and this was the cover story.
What did they do in that silly closed session?
Well if you read the flame-throwers from the left over at the DailyKos they claim it was a move of sheer brilliance. The main thrust of what the glee seems to be coming from is that now "the American people" will finally be able to get "the answers they deserve" from the "MyWifeIsASpy" Plame/Wilson affair which they believe also demonstrates that Bush INC. trumped up evidence to launch the war against Iraq. Their theory works in such a way that they believe the administration would seek retribution against those it was not happy that disagreed with the evidence and thus Joe Wilson's twisted theory that he (and his wife by proxy) became the target of the administration.
PLAMEGATE = WILLFUL DECEPTION LEADING UP TO IRAQ
I know - silly but that's their theory...
