CONSERVATIVES ARE MORE COMPASSIONATE: So a few weeks ago I went to the ghettos of Kingston Jamaica and saw up close and personal what real poverty looks like. This year Food For The Poor - the ministry I was being hosted by - took me to see the poverty in Kingston's rural population as well.
Let me tell you - seeing poverty in the urban cities is bad enough. But at least there a single mom trying to raise her kids can go and hustle and try to make ends meet.
But poverty in rural areas is so much more discouraging to those who live in it.
In a city if a construction project comes through folks can line up for work. In the rural areas - no one comes with job opportunities.

Food For The Poor, allowed me to shoot these pictures to tell part of the story. They also are allowing me the chance to tell these stories to you and those who listen to the broadcast. 20 homes right now would help complete a village called "Hillside" to give the moms there sturdy homes that won't wash down the hillside when the hurricanes come.
My Lovely bride and I have personally donated to Food For The Poor for the past 3 years.
