PROF JOHN DALY QUITS, SCHOOL CONCEDES, REBECCA BEACH WINS: I can't personally say I'm all that surprised by the outcome of this story. Common Sense said that John Daly was a self destructive tornado waiting to happen. What is unfortunate was that it required an innocent and dare I say sweet innocent college freshman to expose the kind of dredge he really was.
Night before last Daly issued his resignation from Warren County Community College, in New Jersey just ahead of a scheduled emergency meeting of the board of trustee's convened to address the school's response to Daly's bizarre and extreme behavior.On November 13, Daly sent an email to student Rebecca Beach vowing "to expose her right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like her's wouldn't dare show their face on a college campus."
Young America's Foundation, the educational group Beach belonged to and who had helped her organize the event she was hosting on the WCCC campus, also reported today that the school's president William Austin said that the school will be incorporating tolerance seminars for faculty in-service day to help protect students from this type of harrassment in the days ahead.
