"A story is a way to say something that can't be said any other way." -- Flannery O’Connor

"That is why I tell these stories, because people see what I do, but they don't really see. They hear what I say, but they don't really hear, and they don't understand." -- Jesus, Matthew 13:13

***** NARNIA BRINGS IN $67.1 M

As I reported over the weekend at Chris Well: Learning Curve, opening weekend was strong for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. In fact, $67.1 is a great start -- which places it in the Top 25 biggest opening weekends ever (according to Box Office Mojo). By comparison, the opening weekend for Fellowship of the Ring was $47.2 million and Two Towers was $62 million.

SPECIAL PROMOTION WITH CAMPBELL’S SOUP AND AMERICAN PROFILE MAGAZINE

Several Christian artists were part of a special program found in the Dec. 4 issue of the Sunday supplement American Profile Magazine, read by an estimated 7.5 million readers. Amy Grant, Gaither Vocal Band, Annie Moses Band and the compilation CD In The Spirit were selected by the publication for a joint venture with Campbell's Soup, "Church Social In A Box."

The program suggests items to be used for a successful church social, and the "Church Social In A Box" distributed to any church group requesting it.

"We were thrilled to hear that American Profile magazine chose [our album] Eden as one of their top selections," says Annie Wolaver, lead singer and Juilliard trained violinist of the Annie Moses Band. "The goal of our ministry is to encourage and affirm families, promoting excellence in young people, so American Profile makes such a perfect fit. Life is faith-based and we worship God through our music but we carry that in all aspects of our everyday lives as well."
