WIN AN AUTOGRAPHED NOVEL (AND MORE)

Today and tomorrow, yours truly is the special guest over at Gina Holmes ' blog Novel Journey, where she has posted Part One of my interview.

But the real selling point: You can WIN one of five prize packages: Gina is giving FIVE WINNERS each an autographed copy of Forgiving Solomon Long, PLUS a short story sneak preview of Deliver Us From Evelyn (not in stores until March!).

There are two ways to enter -- so you can get your name in that hat (so to speak) TWICE.

1) Click on over and post a comment.

2) On your own blog, link your readers to the interview, and then let Gina know you did so.

FINDING BALANCE

Associated Press reports that Bono admitted he feared his commitment to campaigning against poverty would force him out of his band, U2.

"They [the band] are hugely supportive spiritually and financially of the work I do, but they are in a rock 'n 'roll band, and the first job of a rock 'n 'roll band is not to be dull. So we have to be very careful about just letting me go too far." See the whole story here.

Q&A WITH RANDY SINGER

Over the break, we posted a three-part Q&A with novelist Randy Singer.

The author of several popular legal thrillers, including Self Incrimination and Directed Verdict, Singer is also a trial attorney who serves as Chief Counsel for the North American Mission Board, as President of FamilyNet Television, and on the Board of Legal Advisors for the American Center for Law and Justice, a public service law firm that defends religious freedom both in the United States and abroad.

Throughout the conversation, Mr. Bell shares his writing habits, what he wishes non-writers understood about writing, and why he objects to being asked whether he is a "minister" and "entertainer."

***** TOGETHER AGAIN

Following a two-year sabbatical, sibling gospel group The Martins is hitting the road in 2006 to promote the retrospective Decade (Spring Hill).

"The lessons we have learned during our time away will certainly allow us to bring something new and fresh to the stage," says Judy Martin Hess. "I am excited to see that 'something new' God will do through us as a unit."

This special reunion tour in 2006 will find the Martins sharing songs that have delighted fans for years. "Some things about The Martins from the past will never change: the harmony, the versatility, the passion for reaching people," states Brian Hudson of Showcase Management. "During the Martins' sabbatical we have been inundated with calls and letters from people wanting to know when The Martins would return to touring together again. That time has finally come. We're excited."
