WHY DEMOCRATS ARE LIKE DIRTY DOGS: We have little patience with such bad behavior if it was to be practiced against our spouses. My Lovely Bride has on more than one occassion strongly encouraged me not to stray into the arena of politics for some of this very reason. But what the Democrats who sit on the Senate Judiciary Committee displayed yesterday really sank to the lowest lows since that whole Anita Hill non-sense.
The badgering, the bullying, the endless yapping - and never asking a questions. Joe Biden spoke for a total of the 26 minutes of the total of 30 that he was allowed for his time of questioning. Chuck Schumer repeatedly pounded away at Alito trying to get him to crack and give an opinion on whether or not he believed Roe V. Wade could be/will be overturned. Alito continued his proper response in saying that it would require the weighing of the evidence of a specific case for him to be able to evaluate - and then and only then - author an opinion.
The insinuation that Judge Alito is racist, sexist, or in anyway whatsoever beneath the character and reputation that people know him to be continued. Ted Kennedy, the pillar of virtue that he is, finally got his wish and will get to see some documents on the organization that Alito was briefly supportive of. Of course he has explained his support was restricted to the point of the group's support of the ROTC. Alito felt it was important for the ROTC be allowed to recruit on Princeton's campus. He has repeatedly stated that he was unaware of the group's controversial positions, and his involvement with them had been limited to the ROTC issue.
