BOX OFFICE BONANZA
Several of the films we have been tracking lately -- including Walk the Line, Chronicles of Narnia and Hoodwinked -- had a fine weekend at the box office last weekend.
Hoodwinked, the CGI-revamp of Little Red Riding Hood, fell to second place with $11 million in ticket sales, with Glory Road and Last Holiday coming in right behind. The Chronicles of Narnia held on in the Top 10 for yet another week, pulling in another $6 million to come in at No. 7. Following its three big wins at the Golden Globes, the Johnny Cash biography Walk the Line saw its weekend earnings jumped 77 percent.
According to the Associated Press, the top 12 films grossed an estimated $97 million -- up nearly 17 percent from last year's $82.9 million.
