SAME SEX SEXERS CLAIM THEY ARE 'PROTECTING CHILDREN': In fairly predictable language another activist judge M. Brooke Murdock (here's her e-mail address and phone number) has ruled that a 33 year old standing legal definition of marriage discriminates on the basis of sex and violates the 1972 Maryland Declaration of Rights, which is gobblty-speak for the Maryland version of the ERA.
The Baltimore area trial judge concluded that the prohibition of marriages that did not fall under the definition the state had specifically defined was not "rationally related to the state interest in the 'rearing of biological children by married, opposite sex parents'."
The judge went on to say she was unable to find "that preventing such 'marriages' rationally related to Maryland's interests in promoting the best interest of children."
