Giving is very important in our home. We believe strongly that God blesses His children with finances in order to further His kingdom and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I agreed with the article until I came to the end and saw the list of suggested sites for donations. These sites, though not necessarily 'bad', did nothing to promote sharing Jesus. I have a problem with giving money to organizations that are not ordained by God to reach out to the lost and hurting. Perhaps the article should have ended with the challenge to seek God's guidance only when trying to decide which organizations to financially support. Every dollar that saves a whale or a puppy was NOT spent to help a hurting brother or sister in the Lord or share Jesus with a drug addict. We must be good stewards of all that God has entrusted to us.
