CRITICAL MASS
Until now, most Christian fiction came in two flavors -- hardcover and trade paper. The more compact format found in general stores, "mass market," was a rarity.
This month, WestBow Press (Nelson is launching a new promotion, publishing its best-selling fiction in mass-market size. The new size won't replace trade paper, but will add a popular size and price point for customers and retailers.
In CBA stores, the publisher is offering customers who spend $25 on fiction from any publishing house to receive a WestBow mass-market fiction free. The first wave includes Karen Kingsbury's A Time To Dance, Davis Bunn's The Lazarus Trap, Kristin Billerbeck's What a Girl Wants, Charles Martin's Wrapped in Rain, Ted Dekker's Thr3e, and Frank Peretti's The Visitation.
See the general market side of the story in Publisher's Weekly.
