"The things I prayed for years ago are just coming to pass. Sometimes we ask God for an oak tree and he sends us an acorn. Are you willing to plant it and let it grow?" -- Tyler Perry

BETWEEN TWO MARKETS

A new documentary about the cast and crew of The Passion of The Christ is running into problems getting to market -- it is "too Christian" for the general market, but "not Christian enough" for some Christian distributors:

CNTNEWSWIRE -- March 7, 2006 -- Toronto, ON -- The Big Question is running into controversy like the parent film it was derived from. The Big Question is a 75-minute documentary movie where the cast and crew from The Passion of the Christ are asked about their faith and beliefs in God. This topic often may be difficult to sell into the mainstream world, where slasher, horror, and morally absent DVDs are the priority.

Surprisingly, some Christian distributors have shown resistance to The Big Question because it may not be Christian enough. As one distributor said, "it contains many beliefs and ideas that run contrary to those of our customers."

The DVD is available -- somewhere -- in April.

BROTHERLY LOVE

Come May, INO Records / Columbia Records releases the much-anticipated pop-punk debut from the Jonas Brothers, It's About Time. And the trio is already getting a lot of media attention:

- MTV's TRL has already premiered the group's music video "Mandy." The song is about a sign language student of their mother who the boys developed a special bond and became close friends.

- The group also has the song "Time For Me To Fly" over the closing credits of the film Aquamarine and also on the soundtrack.

- The Jonas Brothers are featured in the March issue of Teen Vogue, which proclaims, "With an obvious Jackson 5 influence, combined with Hanson-like sibling harmonies and the pop-radio silliness of LFO, the Jonas Brothers offer up catchy songs with ironic lyrics." Another teen mag, Popstar, named the trio "Break-out Stars of 2006."
