PROTECTING MARRIAGE - IN 30 DAYS: Even though liberals are hoping, wishing, praying (we're not quite sure WHO to), for the Protection of Marriage Amendment to go away for good. There is bad news awaiting them - MuscleHeads are back!
According to Focus On The Family there is a post-card campaign underway to help you put proper pressure on your U.S. Senators.
But beyond that Majority Leader Frist has just gone on the record saying he will bring the amendment to the Senate floor on June 5. (One month from today!) We have to clear 60 votes to cut off debate to allow the amendment to be discussed on the floor.
Dems have already promised to kill it - and never allow it to even be debated. Senators need to hear from you to help make up their mind to actually decide to move forward and allow the debate to go forward. Contact your Senators - and Senators that voted against it last time, and help them see the error of their ways. (202.224.3121 - and ask for your Senator's office.)
I've been told from Frist's office that he will push for the vote on June 7. We've got one full month - now let's get busy.
