SUPREME'S LEAVE GAY PARENT CASE IN STATE'S JURISDICTION: Just moments ago the U.S. Supreme Court decided to not get involved in a case that pitted two lesbians against each other in a custody/visitation battle stemming around their non-traditional living arrangement.
The case has been a cantankerious one, and one I believe that was more or less designed to get the Supreme Court to validate on the federal level - a non-related homosexual person's claim to a child that was brought into the homosexual couple's life.
The case now goes back to the state of Washington where the woman must prove that she is a "de facto parent."
Gay advocates are promising to see to it that a homosexual parental rights case will eventually come before the high court - thus tipping their hand a bit on the matter.
