REFORMS HE WOULDN'T ACCEPT: El Presidente Vicente Fox is in the US for the next three days. His stated reason for being here? He wants to help "influence" the American debate over immigration reform. So he will campaign in Utah, Washington, and California for the next 72 hours to push us to change our laws. He will be pushing for a "Guest Worker" program, as well as the path to citizenship for Mexican citizens.
So let me see if I understand, he wants to give us millions of people that he should desire to have in his own nation - his brethren?
What an unbelievable hypocrite.
Especially when you consider that just yesterday we were reminded how Mexico treats non-citizens in its own land, even legal residents - by barring them from thousands of types of jobs.
So the big cheese enchilada has the gall to step on U.S. shores and lecture us about what kind of reforms we need?
Just a reminder Vicente's own government advocates the strip searching of foreign women - even in public of illegal women in their nation, and if an illegal resists while being discovered in Mexico, the Mexican government has sanctioned the use of deadly force.
