OK but what does the Word of God say:

1 Corinthians 14:39
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and FORBID NOT to speak with tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues...

1 Corinthians 14:18
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all

1 Corinthians 14:1
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

The SBC seems to believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God yet these Gifts of God are forbidden? The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are precious, personal and empowering, why try to keep this from it's(the SBC's) believers? Are they embarrassed perhaps?
To those of you out there who seek His Gifts or have them already do not be discouraged! I think God is ending the evil of denominations and their lust for control. The Lord Jesus Christ has set us Free Indeed!!

Please help us Jesus. We have no one to turn to except you. Lord, please do not turn a deaf ear to us. Don’t let us face the bitter shame of defeat because defeat doesn’t go to those who trust in you. Lord, please help us. Please grant unto us a major financial breakthrough. Send us the money we need soonest possible to pay our house rent, utilities, loans, advertisement cost and to meet all our daily needs, Lord. We have faith in you. Please make a way for us, open double doors, open the floodgates of Heaven and pour out your abundance blessings on us. Please forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us with your precious blood. Lord, we need your help urgently! Please bless our business and prospers the works of our hands. Remove every hindrances, obstacles and mountains that are blocking us from receiving your abundance blessings Lord. Send us students from the North, South, East and West of the city where we are staying O Lord. Keep us safe, Jesus, from the evil one. We believe that you are able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can think or ask for according to your promise in Ephesians 3:20. Please have mercy upon us and make all grace abound towards us. Please help us Lord, we ask you all these in your precious name. Thank you for hearing our prayers, Lord. Thank you for helping us and pulling us out of the deep pit. AMEN!
