It is pretty sad when we as Christians can support a book that misqoutes scripture through and through and tell us that the reason God does not answer our prayers is because he wants us to talk to him...Don't take my word for it. Read Wild at heart again. Only this time, with dscerning ears and everywhere he qoutes scripture, please look it up!! Including the opening page where he deliberately misqoutes the book of proverbs by capitializing a word that is in the middle of the text to make it seem as though it were the begining of the sentence. Notice the deification of man and his esteem. Do we really take God's word serious when He says not to mess with his Holy book?

I love the analogies that Eldridge uses in "Wild at Heart". This book started my thinking differently about how I was in Christ and what Christ was asking me to do with my life. I agree that the Christian man's heart needs to be remapped, transformed in the heart that Christ wants for us. That process is humbling, dangerous, full of adventure, painful even. But it's all for our good and for growing us into the men that God designed us to be. Thanks for the article.
