Thousands of neighbors are being invited to special Christmas parties across the country. Christian hosts are sharing the gospel "in a fun and meaningful way" during the parties in their homes, according to Neighborly Evangelism Ministries . The neighborhood party hosts are part of the Lighthouse of Prayer movement , and have spent the year laying the groundwork for evangelism by praying for their neighbors and doing practical good deeds for them.

...Neighborly Evangelism Ministries was founded by a couple who reached out to non-Christians in their own neighborhood. More than 60 neighbors became Christians in three years as Norm and Becky Wretlind hosted Christmas parties that led to home Bible studies, according to their ministry.

..."It was like living in the Book of Acts," Norm Wretlind said. A church was formed among the converts that has grown to more than 1,000 members. The Wretlinds developed a training seminar and materials to help others host Christmas parties.
