Step of Faith Pays Off
Two years ago, Tom Anglin took a step of faith when he left his job to pioneer a Teen Challenge Center, to reach students suffering from alcohol and drug abuse through evangelism, education and rehabilitation.
"I had no income, no insurance, no pledges, no nest egg, no ministry engagements on the calendar, and no home to call our own," says Anglin. "However, I did have a brave wife and our four children. Then we just dove in!"
Anglin's obedience to God's call has resulted in a multitude of blessings in the face of great odds. He is now executive director of InnerMission Teen Challenge in Hammond, Ind. A crisis intervention office has been established there and is currently expanding.
He is also working on setting up a residential ministry for boys in Kouts, Ind., on a 48-acre complex with four homes. "The fact that all of this has happened in just two years amazes me when I consider what minimal resources we started with. We have gone from absolutely nothing to over a million dollars worth of property."
