Verbal/emotional abuse is just as detrimental to the victim as physical and sexuall. The verbally/emotionally abused victim should escape immediatly because it is only going to get worse. An abuser never changes. It does not matter how much you pray, It doesn't even matter how hard you try to conform yourself to make your abuser happy so he won't yell, cuss at, critisize or try to controll you. I escaped but i am now looked down upon for my "sin" of causing this divorce. But my abuser sinned against me first.

Don't think for a second that an emotionall abuser will change because they won't. JUST LEAVE. ESCAPE before it gets worse.

Does anyone have encouraging words for one being verbally abused by her husband? Ten years into an angry marriage, add to that a 3.5 year old daughter who must now endure the verbal assaults. I could use online support from Christians.
