Wonderful piece! It's so interesting how differently parents and children view things. You insecure and out of your element, but your daughter thrilled, I'm sure, to have her dad to "herself," able to show you off to her friends somewhat, and dressed to the 9's besides!

When I was a kid "magic" was a guy in a black suit pulling a quarter out of my ear, love was what I felt when I ate chocolate icecream.
Now magic is what I see when my son doesn't know I'm watching him, and love my Mom sharing a milkshake with my Dad at his hospital bedside.
It makes what I previously "knew" so artificial, but equally as simple.
