I think engaging our world in a humble and intentional way is the best thing we can do for Jesus. In some cases we may need to create Christian alternatives, and I do not put down GodTube, etc., but what message do we send to others if we purposely exclude them because they believe differently?

Why can't there be both kind of outlets?

As a consumer/reader/viewer, I enjoy having many online options. Just because a site is more "specialized" doesn't bother me. Same way with shopping. Is it okay that there are health food stores? Yes. Should all organic or natural food products be sold only in giant supermarkets? No. Choices are great for consumers, and the assortment at a speciality shop can help us find exactly what we're looking for that much faster.

But back to the tubes ... Christians can be influential in all settings - whether it be secular with entertainment-oriented purposes (YouTube) or Christian with entertainment AND outreach purposes (GodTube).

By and large, if someone comes to know Christ through the efforts of GodTube OR YouTube, isn't that a good thing? God can use anyone and anything to further His Kingdom.
