A Solid Foundation: Build a House

After Wednesday night's challenging "Idol Gives Back"; tonight we build new homes for the homeless families.

So far this year (on the show), you have contributed over $50,000 in relief for HIV/AIDS orphans in Africa with Cross International, singles mothers looking for shelter and medical in Northern California. You have supported the foundations of feeding, clothing and welcoming the homeless through City Team Ministries of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.

Now we go back to the international reach of love.

Tonight's focus will be building homes for destitute families throughout Jamaica. Many of our stories will come from individuals and pastors who live in a community called Mango Valley, located on the north coast of the island in the banana parish (county) of St. Mary.

The families from Mango Valley represent thousands of other families island wide, who need our help. We will be given the opportunity to play a vital role in making these homes a reality for poor families who need a safe and solid place to live and shelter together.

$87 pays for a cement foundation.

$160 covers the cost of a roof.

$335 provides two windows, a door and hardware.

$1,050 provides the lumber for a single house.

$2,600 loves a poor Jamaican family with a sturdy, new home.

$217 for '12-months' will build a new home for a needy family.

Ten (10) "Eric Hogue Show" listeners, at $22 a month for one year, will build a new home.

We will continue to reach the world and our neighbors. Jesus' 'Gang of Followers' are given the opportunity to provide a complete "Home and  Mortgage" for a family to shelter together.

We are determined to build four (4) homes tonight on the show. You can help by calling 1-866-433-HOPE (4673) and make a contribution of love. After the home is built, then Food For The Poor continues, as the gospel flows through food, clothing, education and relationships that carry the great news of Jesus' life love.

I still believe we (the church, denominations) missed a great opportunity to join with American Idol last night. The world always knows us by 'what we are against', but never 'what we are for'...I'm for families having a sturdy home for sheltered life.

Tonight we "building hope", a 'sturdy' roof over their heads and a warm reminder (continuous) of Jesus' love through us to them all because Christians care. Time for more of the 'deeds' over our 'creeds' of division.

Help us build hope tonight, make a contribution at 1-866-433-4676 (HOPE), and thank you.

UPDATE: Thank you for your generous contributions. We raised over $7,000 for these wonderful families in Jamaica. Five new homes will be built over the next two weeks because of your "love reach". Thank you for the help in loving others in Graceland.
