I Will Go With What Paul Said In Romans 12:1-2
This Is Not My World My Place Is In Heaven.
And All The Liars Are Not Going To Get Me To Vote For Them. George Bush Said He Was A Christian And I couldn't Wait To Vote For Him.
A Christian Who Can't Read The Bible.
God Says The Jews Are My People And Nobody Should Mess With Them. Trying To Force Israel To Give Up Their Land Is Going Against God.
I Haven't Heard One Candidate Say They Would Cease And Desist. I Am Not Voting Against God.
Love In Christ

I would tell my Christian family out there to vote. This is not high school and we can't throw a fit if who we like is not in the race. If we don't vote and the people who we know don't care about life win. That would be the same as us voting for them. As Christians we must have faith in God to lead the people we help to put in office. McCain may not be what everyone wants as a Christian voter, but the 2 on the Democratic ticket have openly shared there lack of respect for unborn human life. In America we do have the right not to vote, but many people have given there lives for you to have that right. Our churchs are full of Christians that are lost and confused. No where in the Bible does the Lord tell you if your not happy complain and then do nothing. If either of the two people on the left win. That will be a big loss for Christians everywhere. As I write this I know some people will get mad or agree, but really in the "END" God is one you will have to answer to.

I’m sorry to hear about Dr Dobson’s statement because so many people trust his judgment and follow it. Usually I’m one of them.

We absolutely MUST vote even if it’s only to vote for the “lesser of the evils”. If we could be assured that ALL Christians would vote for the same person whether it be Ron Paul or a write in we might have a chance but we just can’t be assured of that. When things don't go the way we want or the way we think they should, we should do the best we can with what we are given, whether it be personal or any other issues including political. I believe Christ expects that of us. Maybe instead of looking at it as a vote FOR McCain we should look at it as a vote AGAINST Clinton &/or Obama.

We are in desperate times and we need to give our best. I believe not voting because we “don’t fully agree” is a cop-out and we need to vote for who we “most agree” with.

Please don't decide to sit out this election yet. There IS another candidate running for the Republican nomination who is a true Christian, and worthy of your consideration. He is Dr. Ron Paul, and there is an article about him on this site: --- http://www.crosswalk.com/news/11567668/ --- Dr. Paul is staunchly pro-life and wants to reduce the size of the federal government to give control of our lives back to families and local communities. Throughout his ten terms in Congress, he has consistently spoken and voted for what he believes in, regardless of popular opinion. The mainstream media either scoff at him or ignore him, but he has won the hearts of those of us who have taken the time to learn what he is really about. You can find out more at RonPaul2008.com Please take some time to explore the site, and prayerfully decide whether he is the best person to lead this nation back to where we belong.

A couple of years ago when it was obvious that the Republican candidate wouldn't win (and I didn't fully agree with some of his views), I voted for a man I felt was better quality but was running in a minor party, the name of the man escapes my mind right now.

I will do that again if such a man runs in a minor party and McCain becomes the Republican candidate.

I understand the point you are trying to make BUT!!!!!! I believe that our responsibility as a Christian out weighs our responsibility as an American. I served in the military and do not take the privilege of being an American lightly, but I believe that our first priority is to stand for Christ. I will not and can not understand how anyone that "claims" to be a Christian could vote for someone who believes that murdering 144,000 baby's a year is ok!!!! If anyone can show me in the Bible where it says that we should support a person that stands for abortion just for the sake of exercising the right as an American to vote then I'll change my point of view. The Bible says the we are either for Christ or against Him. I believe that if we stand for God and what is right things like the economy, immigration, taxes and the war will be handled by God, who by the way is a lot more able to handle these things than us.

While I agree with the author's basic argument, I disagree with his conclusion. Yes, I agree that the right won in our ancestors' blood to make a choice at the ballot for our leaders is too precious to squander. For that reason, I will ALWAYS vote.

However, I am not bound to vote for either the Republican or Democrat Party's candidate. There are independents and third partys and the ever available write-in. You could argue those are "wasted" votes I suppose but my conscience will be clear once I vote for someone I heartily agree with rather than the "viable" candidate whose values I least detest. The lesser of two evils remains evil.

If we as Christians want to make a statement about this year's political offerings, the best way to do it is to flee en masse from BOTH the Dems and GOP. Continuing to back a "not TOO repulsive" candidate will only get us more of the same in 2012.
