From CBS News: Obama's campaign got caught up in a series of revised statements about what one of his economic advisers said to a Canadian official about NAFTA. Meanwhile, the trial of Chicago developer Tony Rezko, a former Obama supporter, thrust that issue back into the headlines. Whether any of these developments mattered to voters in Texas and Ohio is unclear, but they marked the first time Obama had entered such an important contest while facing tough questions. Having won a variety of states with large margins since Super Tuesday, it's fair to say Democrats last night may have cumulatively expressed some buyer's hesitation. (CBS News) Sensing a nasty battle ahead, one story notes “Some influential Democrats suggested Clinton should drop out of the race if she wasn't ahead after Tuesday's votes. "We have to have a positive campaign after Tuesday. Whoever has the most delegates after Tuesday, a clear lead, should be, in my judgment, the nominee," New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, a Democratic superdelegate himself, said on CBS's Face The Nation Sunday.” (ABC News) Several stories have noted, despite Hillary’s big win Tuesday, she can’t overtake Obama even with Florida and Michigan. From Mark Halperin: Clinton's only hope of winning a majority of the delegates is to overtake Obama's elected delegate lead by winning the bulk of the remaining superdelegates. MCCAIN CLINCHES GOP NOMINATION...

Story notes “McCain devoted his speech to general election themes, defending the Iraq war and blasting Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama for promising to rework trade treaties.” (USA Today) Mike Huckabee bows out with a gracious speech. I really believe that Huckbee delivered a needed dialog for the Republican Party. His content on the environment, social justice issues and great presentation of compassion, care for others and solid leadership on issues that differ within the party core was a breath of fresh air. TWO VERMONT TOWNS VOTE TO INDICT BUSH AND CHENEY...

This is where we act like a third-world country. Yes, this is symbolic, of course, in the state that was won by the opposition party on Tuesday. This hurts our country around the world, and it hurts our troops who are serving us in numerous fronts across the globe. Think before we speak people.  FOX News 

NEW STRIKE IN HOLLYWOOD – ACTORS COULD WALK IN JUNE...

One issue – product placement that actors feel forces endorsement. An interesting concept since it’s not an actor’s endorsement but a character, but it still brings up a good debate. If an actor uses a product - let's say Coke or Pepsi - on the movie/TV set, is it an endorsement for that product? Should they get a cut of the marketing revenue from the product's placement? They may have a point here,even if the role being performed is a 'character' and not actually themselves in a full-blown endorsement. BTW, when can we get the writers and the actors to strike at the same time? Then we can have our evenings back at home, melas together, games and sitting on the porch and talking to neighbors.  Reuters 

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS USES MORE ENERGY, NOT LESS...

From the story: The big difference, it turns out, is air conditioning, which only the very rich could afford at home before World War II and hence never figured into the calculations of daylight-saving-time's proponents. Getting home earlier in the afternoon, as far as the sun is concerned, means more heat and demand for cranking up the A.C. Should we remove this concept so we can 'save the environment'? (I like the change at Spring, hate it come Fall.)  FOX News
