CALIFORNIA COURT SAYS HOME SCHOOL PARENTS MUST HAVE TEACHING CREDENTIALS...

After our conversation last night about the Christian organization of a "Exodus Mandate" from public schools, this today. California trying to 'make it tougher, or more accountable' to be homeschooled. From the story: Parents do not have a constitutional right to home school their children," wrote Justice H. Walter Croskey in a Feb. 28 opinion signed by the two other members of the district court. "Parents who fail to [comply with school enrollment laws] may be subject to a criminal complaint against them, found guilty of an infraction, and subject to imposition of fines or an order to complete a parent education and counseling program." Later: A.J. Duffy, president of United Teachers Los Angeles, said he agrees with the ruling.

What has happened to "school choice", or educational choice in California?

I (my family) do not believe - personally - that we need to pull our children out of public schools. Some kids are better equipped for the ideology, agenda and indoctrinational encounters than others. Yet, this is an individual choice for each family, parent and student. Removing our kids from the public sector also concerns me as it relates to 'simple spiritual isolationism' and a refusal to engage in marketplace evangelism. That discussion aside...this decision by California is an obvious violation upon parental rights, educational liberties and afforded school choice for all citizens and taxpayers. LA Times

GREEN GROUPS UPSET OVER LONG FLIGHT WITH JUST FIVE PASSENGERS...

Story claims “It led to American Airlines being accused of reckless behavior by green lobby groups.”  Amazing, considering the fact that movie stars, rock stars and politicians do this every day without controversy. It's a hypocritical argument by those concerned about the environment. Agreeing somewhat...one would think it would be "more economically beneficial", as well as "environmentally friendly", if we would only fly planes that are close to 75% sold. I'm sure American Airlines lost money on this flight. Telegraph

MAN TOSSES SMALL BOMB INTO MILITARY RECRUITING STATION...

The Berkeley attitude moves to the east, in New York. Little details known as of early this morning. Question: "Any chance they’ll dare call this a hate crime?" Targeting the military and those in the military 'violently', is this a crime of hate, or just political speech? This brings up a good topic for the show; do you believe there should be certain crimes that attach a 'hate crimes' bonus consequence to them? We'll bring this up in future shows. Here is today's early report from New York.  CBS News

THIS IS A POSITIVE FOR THE DEMOCRATS...

Evangelicals sent a strong message in Tuesday's Republican primaries in Texas and Ohio by voting overwhelmingly for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, while almost every other Republican demographic group chose Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz), exit polls show. This was despite the fact McCain had already been dubbed the "presumptive nominee" of the Republican Party by the national media and political pundits. As predicted, Huckabee was soundly defeated in all four of Tuesday's primaries and caucuses and subsequently withdrew from the race. CONSERVATIVE NEWS
