Warren Throckmorton, PhD is Associate Professor of Psychology and Fellow for Psychology and Public Policy at Grove City College (PA). He is the producer of the critically acclaimed documentary, I Do Exist, regarding sexual orientation. His academic articles have been published by journals of the American Psychological Association and he is past president of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. Salon article about ex-gays wrong on Exodus Intl.

Currently, Salon.com is running a 4 part series on ex-gays. In the first one, a claim is made that the two founders of Exodus International left their wives and reverted to homosexuality. Crosswalk.com has posted my response to this claim and it is mostly untrue.

Here is a snippet from the essay, titled, Are Sexual Preferences Changeable?

Are these claims accurate? Let me cut to the chase. Mostly, they are not true. In fact, after investigating the matter, I found that there were more than two people on the founding board of Exodus. Of these founders, only one reverted to homosexuality. Furthermore, one of the two men referred to by Mr. Besen was never in leadership with Exodus. Here are the details.
