A HUGE WORD OF THANKS: In a little under 12 hours on Friday, listeners to The MuscleHead Revolution and out flagship WMCA-New York did something really amazing.
They donated enough money to build 30 homes for families who need them in some of the world's poorest areas. Working through an organization - Food For The Poor, within the period of 12 hours, WMCA listeners responded to the opportunity to truly Make A Difference and DID!
The homes cost $2000 each. It (the $2000) pours a cement slab, where now the structure is barely balancing on rocks and sticks. It builds a solid weather treated, termite proof, four walled enclosure that protects from wind, rain, flood, and hurricane. It provides a sense of security for young daughters away from predators and leering men with a locking front and back door, and locking windows.
You did it! Listening, being moved, and making the call - you did it - you made a difference, and I simply wanted to say a HUGE "Thank You" to everyone who got involved.
