BROKEBACK PULPIT: In brazen bizzareness - the ''President's Club'' all show up at Coretta King's funeral this week, but it did not hit me till last night just how insidious the whole affair turned out to be.
And I'm not talking about those who purposefully grandstanded for their own benefit (Lowery and Carter). I'm referring instead to the strange, bizarre, nearly twisted, perverse applause that rang out in favor of one President, and rained down like hell-fire against another.
Is this what we are coming to?
